Combining her two passions - film and food - Alissa launched a cinema and supper club in 2015 as a side project to lift her out of a creative rut. However, the popularity of the endeavour picked up faster than she’d anticipated, and a year later, Alissa left her uninspiring job to delve into the world of culinary storytelling through film full time. Hosting monthly sold out events, KinoVino has become a household name, featuring prominent food personalities like Melissa Hemsley, Olia Hercules, Rosie Birkett and Anna Barnett who offer their culinary interpretations of a unique film programme that Alissa curates.

Introducing: kinovino at home

A new way to experience the KinoVino supper club magic and share it with friends, no matter where they are in the world. The KinoVino at Home edition consists of different themed packages, each including a film suggestion, a set of recipes and tip for table decor. You can select a theme of your choice on the SHOP section of the website to gain access to a password protected page with all the exciting content. You can then, in your own time, host a virtual KinoVino gathering with your friends, OR you can opt in to be connected to other people who book for the same experience and you can co-host an evening together inviting more friends and so meeting more new people. You can follow the same format as the KinoVino supper clubs - enjoying a drink then watching a film and sitting down for dinner with friends afterwards to talk about the film and whatever else the mood inspires you to discuss. It’s up to you which platform you would like to use (Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp) to host your gathering but please do post a picture or a video of the experience on Instagram using #KinoVinoHome hashtag and tagging me @alissatimoshkina so that we can spread the word and build our online community.

KinoVino is a monthly cinema and dining experience that offers meals from leading food personalities inspired by film. Each event explores a new theme & culinary style so your experience is never the same! Here is what you can expect from a KinoVino gathering:

Guests are greeted with welcome cocktails and nibbles, and then welcomed to a screening room where Alissa offers an intro to the evening and the film. The night culminates in a beautifully decorated banquet room where a celebrity chef welcomes the guests and treats them to a meal & a drinks pairing inspired by the film! All events cater for vegetarian diet (and other needs upon request in advance) and are suitable for brave solo diners as well as romantic dates and group celebrations.
